Clio Chintis February 26, 2007 ENG3050 In this case, Convergent Group Corporation was hired by the County of Kent to design and implement a software program for their property tax administration for the amount $5,484,268. They entered into an Implemented Contract on March 31, 2004 which stated the terms of termination which included a written thirty day notice of breach of contract, termination fee, and discharge fee of no more than $250,000 and paying the consultant for all the services up to that date. Disagreements arose when the County claimed they weren't meeting their duties of assisting them in helping with software problems and they threatened to terminate, but didn't because they entered into another agreement where Covergent will assist them. However, the project fell behind and Convergent blamed the County this time saying they weren't doing their part of the contract and the County then terminated the contract 6 days later and was billed a
