Iesha Roberts History 130/ Karen Nissen November 29, 2007 Extra Credit-Pearl Harbor Pearl Harbor took place on December 7, 1941 when Franklin D. Roosevelt was in presidency. The movie shows how fast a war can be started without United States knowing that Japan was going to start attacking on Pearl Harbor so soon. The Japanese made a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor because United States decided to longer trade oil the Japanese needed for their war and other things which made them very outraged. Japan no longer saw America as their ally and Japan wanted to take over the Hawaiian Islands. The two main actors are Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett who in the beginning are two young boys with an interest in fighter planes; years later they become lieutenants in the United States army. These two actors in the movie have to deal with risking there lives for there country and to save each other during missions. I am sure that all the soldiers in Pearl Harbor displayed a strong sense of duty and a willingness to risk danger to fight evil.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
