In your own words explain the relationship between an object and a class (i.e. no book definitions) The object relies on the class. The class is made up of functions and the object of that class is based off the formation of the class. 2. The book describes classes as similar to M&M candies; create your own metaphor for encapsulation. An example that is close to the M&M candy example would be any kind of food or object that has a soft center protected at all times by a hard surface. This includes almost any chocolate candy like an M&M. 3. Go to the Java API (application programming interface; http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/ ) and select a class. Write down the overall purpose of the class and three methods the class offers. Color: The purpose of this class is to affect colors in Colorspace. It affects color, brightness, and transparency, as well as many others. Three methods that are used under the Color class are:
