2 Week 3 Discussion: Scholarly Writing and Plagiarism Paraphrasing a few sentences can be very difficult. I find that it’s very easy to use a quote and build on an idea. The problem that I have is finding a different way to say something that was already said well. Afraid that I won’t properly cite an more abstract use of material makes me want to cite everything. When I completed that paraphrase and submitted it to both the Grammarly and TurnItIn sites, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I found that Grammarly seemed much easier to use and navigate. I liked the suggestions they made for wording and placement. I have a bad habit of using ten words when five will do. The site was quick to point this out. I had more trouble navigating the TurnItIn website. It wasn’t clear that I was in the right place and the results were difficult to read. My result on the paraphrase was quantified as 16% but I’m not sure how accurate to consider that. The data and word count for analysis would be very small and the
