The plant selection was based on five major points; sun/shade analysis, soil pH, soil drainage, site assessment and winter interest. My concept is winter interest because the majority of classes take place while landscape plants are dormant. The plants are placed around major root zones and allow access to fire hose hookups and the emergence light.
