STUDY GUIDE – LECTURE 1 WHAT IS “ECOLOGY”? A note on the use of study guides: It is common for students to print out the study guide as it appears below and then try and hand-write all their definitions and answers on the study guide as is. BUT, for many questions there is not really room for all you should write (some of these questions require moderate to long essays). People try to cram long answers into the tiny spaces between question or in the margins. Not recommended! This is not like a worksheet you get in highschool. This is the Big Time. Suggestion: Download the study guide into Word and add space between the terms and questions, giving yourself room to write.
