Place all items not needed for the test in the hallway. 2. This examination consists of this cover sheet and 5 sheets of problems, for a total of 6 sheets. 3. Write your name and section on each sheet in the space provided. 4. FOR FULL CREDIT, YOU MUST SHOW ALL MATHEMATICAL WORK NEEDED TO JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWERS! If you are using Mathematica , Excel, or R , make sure you transfer sufficient information onto your exam in order to logically present your thought process. 5. If you need more space, use a separate sheet for each problem continued. Clearly indicate which problem is continued with “Continued on sheet ” on the problem sheet and “Problem continued” on the extra sheet. Also, clearly write your name and section on any extra sheets. 6. All work written on this exam will be reviewed for grade unless it is clearly marked through. 7. This exam is designed to assess your individual understanding of the Block 1 objec- tives. You are authorized your computer (new Mathematica notebooks, blank Excel spreadsheets, and blank R scripts), one 8.5” x 11” sheet of notes (front and back), and your calculator. You may NOT use the internet, a textbook, or email. You may not consult other cadets during the exam. 8. A test OIC and/or your instructor is located in the hallway for questions. 9.
