Explain what is meant by "good of the species" thinking (also called "good of the group" or "group selection" thinking). In other words, someone who ascribes to this way of thinking assumes what? Animals that act in a manner to first and foremost ensure survival of their species. 2. In counter-arguments to "good of the species" thinking, modern biologists refer to "cheater individuals” or “cheater phenotypes"? These would be individuals that behave in what manner? In a manner which increases survival and fitness. 3. Explain why biologists no longer believe that animal populations will be full of individuals that sacrifice their own survival or reproduction to benefit their population or species.
