Assignment: My Daydreams According to the Short Imaginal Processed Inventory I am a Positive-Constructive daydreamer, the type that believes the fantasies one has are constructive and fulfilling. After paying close attention to my daydreams, I would have to whole heartedly agree with this assessment. This is because the two dominant subjects of my daydreams are scheduling my time and spending time with loved ones. Both of these dreams are “constructive and fulfilling” just like those Singer stated Positive-Constructive dreamers would experience. If I were to include every tiny daydream I had in just one day, I would have to admit that literally over half of these daydreams were problem focused. For instance, when I first wake up in the morning I daydream about what I should wear and what outcome each outfit would have. This is especially true on Art Studio Wednesdays. I wonder, “If I wear my favorite pair of jeans is it possible they could get dirty? If so, how bummed will I be? Will I be so pissed that I could possibly throw my shoe at someone in
