The livelihood of thousands of people worldwide is highly affected by this pandemic that lead to lost their incomes. People are forcedly to stay athome by following the restrictions that the government had been enforced intended to prevent the viruscontagion.This study presented and determined the impact of covid-19 pandemic to the livelihood ofpeople in New Luzon through answering the following questions: i) What is the level of impact COVID- 19to the people's livelihood of New Luzon? ii) What are the business/livelihood adopted by therespondents to have income during this pandemic?The researchers gathered data through survey with the residents of New Luzon as therespondents to determine how the current pandemic affect their livelihood. The results of the studyshowed that the laborers and banana buy & sell business are strongly affected by the pandemic, lessimpact on small store, sari-sari store and habal-habal and no impact on farmer. uring this pandemic time,most of livelihood of people live in the mentioned place is farming.CHAPTER 1THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
IntroductionThe world has been gripped by a COVID- 19 pandemic over the whole year of 2020 and thepresent thatledto a dramatic loss of human life worldwide, tremendous economic damage, worldwidelockdown, quarantine and restrictions. The fastgrowing number of cases worldwide have led to thegovernment of every countries across the world to declared an enhance community quarantine (ECQ) onthe third month of the year 2020 to reduce the increasing rate of cases. Though it affects people all ofages, it is most vulnerable to adults, children and to those people who underlying medical conditions.Therefore, prevention and supportive care are highly recommended.Countries across the world have been adopted several public health measures intended toprevent its spread, including social distancing, wearing of face mask, hand washing and hand sanitizer.As a part of social distancing all establishments have been required to close down and allowing travelonly for essential needs. To contain the diffusion of COVID-19 virus, governments hadenforcedrestrictions on outdoor activities or even in a large collective of people and other activities that may ledto transmission of virus. People are forcely to stay at home by following the strict protocols that thegovernment had been enforced. Every day, people are losing their jobs and income, getting stress ofthinking on how to sustain their daily needs with no idea when normality will return.
