Journal entry 15The module presented important aspects of developing and assessing leadership. I learnedthat the information available to the leaders is limitless. The main essential issue is identifyingthe issue that carries the health and future of the entity. It is important to consider organizationalassessment just like self-assessment. I also learned that for one to lead others, there must bepersonal development and growth first. A leader cannot be in a position to influence theirfollowers when they are not willing to invest the energy and time necessary to be self-aware. Iwas shocked to learn that all leaders talk of leaving a legacy, however, the main legacy isgrowing and developing other leaders who will come in later and take the leadership position. Ibelieve that the success and survival of organizations depend on the development of leaders whoaddress their changing needs.One of my managers amazed me by his leadership style. While all the other leaders I hadworked together focused on taking us back to class for training and learning, he focused on
