Smith 1 Sharron K. Smith Community Project Report FRSM 1100-15 March 28, 2008 Volunteering at The Green Project To complete my service project, two of my friends and I volunteered at The Green Project, a non-profit organization that recycles materials that would otherwise end up in landfills. Our job was to empty donated cans of paint into barrels to be mixed and recanned in the organization’s warehouse on March 11, 2008. I chose this particular project because I had previously volunteered with The Green Project and found that the work that was done was interesting and good for the environment. Before doing the project, I felt neither negatively nor positively about the assignment; I just considered it as something that needed to be done. After the fact, I felt happy that I was able to finish the task early. My role in the project was the project leader. I chose the site and proposed a date that everyone would agree on. I also presented our preliminary ideas to the class. My
