BMB 323 Structural Analysis of a Dipeptide Abstract The structure and composition of the unknown dipeptide was determined by a combination of both paper chromatography and thin layer chromatography. These methods are both useful in the analysis of if the unknowns due to their ability to easily compare and analyze results side by side to known peptides to determine the unknown dipeptide. In this case the dipeptide was most likely a combination of aspartate and glycine.
