Scenario : (1/4) You are in a group project meeting with your friend Alissa. The project is due
tomorrow, and this is your last opportunity to meet. You are only done with about 20% of the
project. During your meeting, Alissa starts to receive numerous texts from her boyfriend, Kevin.
At first you ignored it, although it was distracting. However, the texts persisted, so you asked
Alissa to turn her phone on silent so you could get the work done. Alissa tells you that she can ’ t.
She says that Kevin is very jealous, and if he is not with her (he is at work), he texts her many
times to check-in. He has even tested her by driving by or dropping in on her unexpectedly to
make sure she is where she says she is.
Response : A unhealthy relationship behavior that Kevin is doing is constantly texting Alissa to
check in whenever he is not with her. Kevin also crosses the line when he drops in or drives by in
order to make sure that she is where she says she is. Some boundaries need to be set is that they
need to have a calm conversation regarding the controlling behavior. Alissa must tell Kevin that
