She is well known for the award winning talk show Oprah Winfrey show. This paper discusses how Oprah Winfrey moved from a trouble childhood to a successful adulthood.

OPRAH WINFREY OBSTACLES TO SUCCESS 3 I chose Oprah Winfrey as she hosts the Oprah show which is a talk show watched by millions of Americans. This show was highly influential and most of the topics influenced the American pop-culture consciousness (American Academy of Achievement, 2014). The show was used by Winfrey to inspire and provide viewers with positive spiritual experience. It is evidently clear that Oprah made this show to be very successful. Oprah’s goal oriented focus made her to be successful. It is through use of effective communication that would have made her to make the Oprah show very successful. Oprah was born by a teenage mother and she spent her early childhood with her grandmother in her farm in Mississippi. Her mother was not well up and was looking for a job in the North.
