C. Ian Cornelius 1 C. Ian Cornelius AE-1000-33 Level I 29 January 2008 When Time Stood Still November 25, 2007 was indeed the worst day of my life. The day actually started out just fine. Once my family members had arrived, we sat down for thanksgiving dinner. Mom and Grandma had prepared a wonderful meal. Although I had planned on taking some food back to college, the food was so delicious that we didn’t have any leftovers. When dessert was served, the pumpkin pie was “to die for.” Then I had to start getting ready to head back to college. As I got my belongings ready, my grandmother came into my room to give the afghan that she had been making for my room. I thanked her and said it would help out at night, because the night would be very cold. Once I had everything pack and ready to go, I said goodbye to everyone and got on the road. While I was on the road, my uncle called me and told me to come back home. I asked him why, but he just kept saying that I needed to return home immediately. As a result,
