Aaron Ehlers Partner: Collin Quiring Chem. Lab Sect. 165 Lab 9, Cheese Puff Calorimetry Purpose: To determine the amount of energy is food and different sources. To learn about energy transfer. Experimental Methods : My partner and I followed the experimental methods found on page 42 of the lab manual to complete this lab. Results: At first we took an empty test tube and measured the weight of the test tube. Then we added three cm of distilled water to the tube and recorded the weight of it. Then we took the difference in weight between the empty tube and the tube with water in it and determined the weight of the water in the tube and recorded this number. Then we took either a cheeto or a peanut and weighed the food product. Then we took our tube with water in it and put it in some ice to get the temperature down to 5ºC. Then we place the food product on a piece of wire. Then we put our test tube into a clamp at a angle so that nobody could get hurt from the hot water later on. Then we took a match and lighted our
