The video was explaining teacher decision making and put it into three categories Dispositions, Ethics,and Law. In the video it was described as an upside-down triangle in the upper right corner you will havedispositions then in the upper left is law then finally the point of the triangle is ethics. Dispositions arewhat teachers aspire to be and their goals, it is the ability to discern certain types of characteristics intheir students that the can use to guide them. Then we move on to law which would be school policies,district policies and state statues, there is always tension between dispositions and law. It is veryimportant to prioritize dispositions caring for students then right after that comes some law rules thatgovern behavior and can force teachers to make unethical decisions because they will always put thestudents first.
