Experiment 12: The alkaline Earths and the Halogens Conclusion:   A.) Purpose:   B.) Analysis Of Results:  For the Group 2 Cation the most soluble was the Ba(NO3)2 , followed  by Sr(NO3)2, then Ca(NO3)2, and finally, the least soluble, Mg(NO3)2. The color of the halogen  were as followed:  Br2 Cl2 I2 HEX Red Clear Pink Water Yellow Clear Clear The Halogens in order of increasing oxidizing power, according to the experiment done was I2  as the weakerst, then Br2, and Cl2 as the strongest.
