Bill Smith: In retrospect, looking back on what I would do differently or what I would change in my career
- I would spend a lot more time coming to understand myself more, what motivates me, what causes me
to be excited, what makes me anxious or fearful in the workplace, and have a better sense of who I am
and how I respond to things in the workplace. Jamieson Cox: One thing I have learned from being in the
workplace — and I think anyone would tell you this — is even if you have a job that’s pretty close to your
dream job, you’re doing something that you love to do for most of the day, and you work with good
people, and you have a lot of freedom in how you work, there are always going to be aspects of a job
that are unsavory, that you might not like doing. But when it’s your job, you treat even the menial tasks
that you don’t want to do with the same gravity that you treat the things that you really care about.
Because it’s your job, and you have to do that. That’s how you remain professional. I think I would take
