Ideal Communism Withering away of the state- because the state is merely the most important part of the superstructure used as an instrument of domination by the dominant class, it has no purpose as the society becomes increasingly “classless”. What about control of crime? Crime is almost entirely a product of economic deprivation- give men clothing shelter, enough food, etc. and he will not need to commit acts of violence or steal, etc. to meet his needs. Likewise, since wars are instigated by competition between capitalists of the various countries, who dupe the proletariats into fighting each other, wars will come to an end. Proletariats have a need for peace and prosperity in common Communism is an internationalist ideology. Need distribution- “From each according to ability to each according to need.” Marx is not concerned that some people will stint on their labor…… socialism and communism, as their
