Español 102 Elementary Spanish TR 8-9:50 Section 002 Spring 2008 Instructor : Anne Reynolds-Case Office # : GTM 230 Office Hours : M 8:30-11:30 TR 12:00-2:00 Tel. # : 257-5497 Email: [email protected] Course Objectives and Goals : The overall goal of this course is to enable students to develop basic communication skills at the elementary level. Students are expected to have successfully completed Spanish 101 or the equivalent of such a course. There will be a focus on the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing with an emphasis on speaking and listening comprehension. Students will also be able to broaden their exposure to the diversity of Hispanic culture. Required Materials : Arriba: Comunicación y Cultura. 5 th Edition. Eduardo Zayas-Bazán, Susan M. Bacon, and Holly Nibert. Upper Saddle, NJ. Prentence Hall, 2008. Arriba: Comunicación y Cultura. Workbook and Lab Manual. 5 th Edition Class Participation & Oral Performance : Classroom time during this course will focus on building the four skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening), with an emphasis on oral activities.
