All through baseball history, The New York Yankees have been one of the most storied franchises. Through thick and thin, nothing can stop the rumors, media coverage, or notable play of the Yankees. But throughout the years, the Yankees have changed. It is not the same team it used to be and in many different ways. As time went on, the way the game was played and managed changed, as did the New York Yankees. Created in 1903, the New York Highlanders (as they were known back then) played its first game. In the Highlanders first season in the Major League, it finished a respectable 72-62, setting the pace for future teams to keep winning. Over the next ten years, the Highlanders had up and down seasons, which prompted the owners to make some kind of change to the team. In 1913, the infamous pinstripes were added to jerseys and the name, The New York Yankees, created. But they continued to struggle. One fateful year, the Yankees management made a trade that would change the face of the franchise. Babe Ruth
