Assignment 1 – Chapter 1 Page. 28 – Questions 1, 4, 6, 12 1. What are the differences among multidomestic, global, and international companies? A multidomestic company is an organization with multicounty affiliates, each of which formulates its own business strategy based on perceived market differences, where as a global company is an organization that attempts to standardize and integrate operations worldwide in most or all functional areas. For example, a multidomestic company may alter its product in order to “mesh” with the trends, styles, needs, or desires of another culture, and therefore the products will vary from country to country. A global company will not alter its product, but will sell a standard version of the product worldwide. An international company is simply either a global or multidomestic company. 4. Although forces in the foreign environment are the same as those in the domestic environment, they operate differently. Why is this so?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
