This lab introduced students to the concepts of spectrophotometers and determining rate laws and constants. Both of these are important to the concepts learned in class. The graph of [Cr 3+ ] t Vs t was the nearest to a straight line, therefore the rate law was of the zero order. The average value of k was 2.25x10-5 7.5x10-6 . These two calculated values allow a rate law of rate = 2.25x10-5 [Cr 3+ ] 1 .
