These components described are specific to how the data development process functions within SDLC. Using this information, please review the case study listed above answer the following questions below as the data development process relates to SLDC. Provide brief but complete answers. Q1: In which SLDC phases are 0the conceptual, logical and physical models defined? Please explain the major differences between each of the models? Please provide an example of the different models in each phase where theyare defined? SDLC is a framework that provides set of activities to be performed at each level of the software development project and it fallows sequence of steps that are essential for software developers, Such as planning, analysis, design and deployment. It defines all the tasks which are to be performed at each step in the software development process.The three levels of data modeling areconceptual data model,logical data model, andphysical data model. Conceptual data model is defined in planning and analysis phases, while logical data model and physical data model are defined in design phase. Conceptual Data Model: The objective of a conceptual data model is to exemplify the organizational rules governing the meaning and interrelationships among data. This model embodies the overall structure of an organizations data.During the Planning phase of the project, the conceptual data model isused to develop detailed conceptual data model, including attributes, business rules, entities and relationships (high-level data requirements) for the project. The conceptual model is the predecessor to the logical data model; this model is not tangled to any specific technology or solution. In other words this model is independent.Logical Data Model: This clarifies during the design phase of the project but fundamentally this model is a way to communicate what your program is about. The logical data model is created for the scope of the complete project. Only Major relationships and high level categories of data (entities) are including at this point. The logical data model reflects the technology to be used it integrates database into conceptual data model. This step is important in improving the successful development process.Physical Data Model: Like the logical data model, the physical data model is created during the design phase. This modeling activity should reflect the scope of the specific release of the project. The model’s final design will be highly dependent on the technical solution for the data warehouse.
