I thought that Chinatown was a very good movie but I’m not sure if I agree with it being in the top 100 of all time. i thought it was very well written and very well performed but I just didn’t enjoy it nearly enough to agree with it being thought of as one the top 100.for me it was very hard to follow and keep up with the plot, maybe that’s what Polanski wanted in this movie, maybe he thought it would make the viewer pay more attention but I found it annoying, maybe if I watched it again I would find it easier to follow. i also just found it kind of boring, the only character I found myself caring about was jake, I guess he was the main character and was in every scene so I’m glad I could care about him but I didn’t find myself caring about ms. Mulray very much and I thought a lot more emotion should have been shown when she died at the end. i did like the way it ended a lot. I liked the way that it was kind of a dark movie but that pretty much the whole movie was in very bright places, I
