Overview
In this project, you will explore the ethical issues that come up in the design and use of technology.
You will have to analyze one relatively new technological development, estimate the risks
associated with it, and argue whether or not the use of such technology is ethical.
Format and deliverables
You have to do this project in groups of four or five people. You are free to choose your partners.
The deliverables for this project are the following:
 Completion of writing guidelines module (5%; individual) : due November 17 at
midnight; the link to this module is on Moodle
 First draft of the report (5%; group) : due November 17 at midnight
 Final report (30%) : due December 8 at midnight
To select your groups and topics, please fill out this form by Wednesday, November 10 at midnight.
You will receive an email confirmation of your groups and topics soon after that. Only one
submission is required per group. Students whose name does not appear on any form by that date
will be randomly assigned to groups and topics. Also, as you get to work on your project, please
email me at any time about any member of your group who is not pulling their weight; this student
