Ig=Immunoglobulin=Antibodies Produced by B lymphocytes (B cells) o Cellular- destroys host cells infected by viruses and kill parasites and foreign tissues. T cells responds to virus invaded cells. T cells= T lymphocytes- develop at thymus. T cell receptors Cytotoxic t cells and helper t cells. Helper T cells interact with macrophages. Release cytokines (i.e. interleukins). Participate indirectly in destroy pathogens. Stimulate proliferation of the selective cytotoxic T cells and B cells. clonal selection. Epiptope - a small portion (some stretches of aa) of an antigen recognize by a B cell. B and T fig 15-2 Ig=immunoglobulin=antibody
