MBG 110 Introduction to Modern Biology Midterm Examination Instructions
-Midterm Exam Date: Nov 21, 2021. Reserved time slot: 13:30 - 17:30. Exam Start - End: 14:00 - 17:00.
-All reserved classrooms for the exam are in the B/BCC/Law building. Exam will be video-recorded.
-Check classroom accommodations file uploaded to MBG 110 Common Moodle for your assigned seat.
-Entering exam in a wrong classroom may void your exam or lead to point reduction.
-Exam topics are Campbell Biology Concepts & Connections 9

-Attendance will be taken for the exam. Bilkent ID cards must to be shown to Proctors.
-Write your name-surname-Bilkent ID number-section-department-classroom to the top of every sheet.
-You will receive 4 exam sheets. Each sheet will be separately distributed to instructors for evaluation.
-Not putting your name on a sheet may either void your answers on it or lead to point reduction.
-Any answer written on a different sheet rather than its intended question may void your answer.
-A hand-prepared A4/letter size cheat sheet with both sides is allowed. Cheat sheets are collected along
with answers and will not be given back. You may lose points for an improper cheat sheet.
-You may use pen or pencil in exam. If you opt for pen, then realize that space is limited for answers.
-Cheating from a student or a non-cheat sheet source, deliberately disturbing others or disobeying
instructions may void your exam and initiate disciplinary investigation.
-Do not interact with any other student for anything unless permitted and supervised by proctor.
- Phone/tablet/PC etc. usage or presence is not allowed. Place your turned off cell phone on proctor’s
desk before exam start. Do not put any cell phone on your desk.
-Calculator is allowed, but calculator sharing is not allowed. Cell phone calculator is not allowed.
-Students may not exit classroom during exam, unless they have finished it and are not returning.
-Late comers may be allowed for initial 30 minutes after exam start.
-Students may not leave examination room before 35 minutes have passed after exam start.
-Proctors have full authority on organizing seating, starting-ending session, marking your names due to
cheating, disobedience or violation of any exam rule.
-Additional rules may be announced before or during the exam start.
-A question may be corrected for grammar, printing or other errors during exam. Pay attention to such
corrections written on board or announced in classroom.
-Proctors will not answer any exam question related inquiry. Instructors may visit classroom once to
inspect or address an issue.
