Rishil Patel 10/30/08 Quiz 2 1. Tabula Rasa/ Innate Ideas : Tabula Rasa is an idea of John Locke that individual human beings are born with no innate ideas. The knowledge is built by the experience of senses. Innate Ideas is concepts of human beings are born with ideas rather than something people have learn through experience. Empiricist doesn’t except the concept of innate idea. 2. Rationalism/Empiricism : Plato describes Rationalism, which is an approach that accentuates reason as the main source of knowledge, past or superior to, and is independent of any sense awareness of knowledge. To arrive at the fundamental of the reason, there is a process of theoretical reasoning and it can also lead to the truth about what exist, structure, and of the universe as whole. Reason is the main source of our knowledge.
