Provide the web site for this company.The Malcolm Baldrige award (or Baldrige Performance Excellence Program) isgiven to those companies who have enhanced quality. The award is namedafter the late secretary of commerce and was signed into law by congress inAugust of 1987 (Krawjewski, Malhortra, & Ritzman, 2015, p. 118). Other thanbeing recognized as an award recipient the major benefit is the applicationprocess itself. The NIST website states it is one of the “best, most costeffective, most comprehensive performance assessments [an] organization canfind.” (NIST). The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program is a different thenISO 9000 standards as it awards firms that exceed the standard.In 2009 and 2015 munitions firm MidwayUSA based out of Columbia, MO wonthe Baldrige award for the small business sector. MidwayUSA uses aPerformance Improvement System that helps stays focused on customerservice. MidwayUSA’s customer approval ratings surpassing 90% since 2006and earning customer retention rate of 23% for the 20132014 period.MidwayUSA not only looks ate customer satisfaction but employee satisfactionas well. MidwayUSA promotes from within with 80% of management positionsbeing filled from the ranks. MidwayUSA uses a Leadership DevelopmentCandidate process to help identify and mentor future company leaders. From2004 to 2015 employee satisfaction and engagement rate rose 7%.MidwayUSA leads their industry with an 83% instock product rate which isachieved by highly effect supply chain management.
