Functions of the skeletal, nervous, and muscular systems for the individualina “football player kicking a field goal.”In the given scenario of a football player kicking a ball towards the net and gain agoal needs the coordination of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system. The beginningof the process starts in the central nervous system (CNS). First, the player must visually analyzethe field and calculate the exact angle and velocity of the kick for the goal. Then, for changingthe calculation to action- the peripheral nervous system (PNS) must send a set of commands tothe musculoskeletal system. Finally, legs, knees, hip, and ankle, and associated muscular unitsmaterialize the planned action.Functions of the nervous systemCNS and PNS are combinely involved in starting any process. CNS has the brain andspinal cord. PNS represents the entire nervous system throughout the body. Spinal cord act as amediator to send sensory signals to the brain and bring back motor signals to voluntarymuscles.
