DEA INVESTIGATIVE REPORT INV. #: 21801A0012006 TITLE: Gary Peitry SYNOPSIS: On 12/21/1998, at 4:30 p.m. Gary Pietry was shot at the Giant Eagle on 678 Getty Street, Indiana, PA. This is a first responder and opening report. NARRATIVE: On 12/21/1998, I was dispatched to the Giant Eagle on 678 Getty St., in Indiana, PA around 4:30 pm. When I arrived at 5:05 pm, Mr. Gary Pietry was lying on the ground on the East side of the parking lot with blood pooling on the ground. Pietry wasn’t breathing and I looked for a pulse, but couldn’t find one. I then saw a star shaped entry wound by the neck and the base of Peitry’s left ear. Another witness I interviewed was Judy Wilson, a 50-year-old woman from 505 Uptown St. Clymer, PA. She said she could recognize the man who shot LaPage. She said WELLS had on a baseball hat, a light brown colored jacket over a dark brown shirt with stripes on it, and blue jeans with the left pocket torn off.
