Chen 1 Y. Chen Jean Skeat ENGL1800 1 April 2015 We are the Flaws to God’s Creation In Scene 2, act 2, the passage shows a huge turning point of the way Hamlet thinks, thus creating his new subjectivity on God’s creations – the universe and mankind. Hamlet confronts how unimpressed he is and oppose against the “ideal” thinking the society has created and believed, hence putting forth his very own individualized opinions. This was due to the disastrous experiences and emotions that Hamlet had gone through, which changed his view on this subject and is depicted throughout his great use of language and form. This passage is vital as subjectivity constructs one’s self-fashioning. With the result of his father’s death and following events, Hamlet was able to incorporate those actions to the text, leading him to oppose against the social beliefs that have been set.
