Six Major Sources of Stress1.Prior Academic Record.Students with a “shaky”academic past may feel that they can’t succeed in college.Students with past success may feel stress to maintain thatlevel of success.2.Social Influences.Avoiding conflicts and maintaininghealthy relationships can reduce stress levels.3.Family.Pressure to make others proud and stress frommoving or family crises can be difficult, but family can alsobe a support system.
Six Major Sources of Stress4.Finances.Loans, jobs, and credit cards can causefinancial stress, as well as pressure to maintainscholarships.5.Career Direction.
