Formal training is a planned form of training in which new employees go through a structured instruction on how to do their job. Informal training, on the other hand, is not structured or planned, and most learning takes place from other employees helping out new employees. 4. It is a fact that people vary in the way that they learn a behavior the best. Some people learn best by reading, while others learn better through exercises such as watching, listening, and participating. Whatever one of these methods of learning a person prefers is their learning style. Training effectiveness is simply the measurement of how successful a training session was on a certain employee. In order for the session to be as successful as possible an employer must use the right learning style to the corresponding new employee. If an employer cannot correctly match the
