1. Ethnomusicology . The study of music as a cultural system and as a part of other cultural systems.  The study of music – any kind of music – in the context of human life and behavior. 2. Ethnography . The practice of systematic observation and participation in human activity, and  writing it down for the purpose of analyzing that activity to understand its cultural organization. 3. Ethnicity . Often used synonymously with culture. A rhetorical strategy group for association which  turns culture into an “overdetermined” symbol for a group of people and  implies  connections  between people.  4. Pan-Ethnic 5. Identity . A correlation between one thing and another. In cultural terms it usually refers to the  practice of connecting oneself and/or one’s group with symbolic ideas of groupness. 6. Culture . An individual’s dynamic theory for their human, physical and cosmological environment,  the principles of which are partially shared by at lest a few others. Term used to describe a semi- coherent system of partially shared, learned knowledge among people. 7. Community . The process of a group of people participating in the creation, maintenance,  communication and authentication of a particular group culture. A group of people who invest part  of their sense of self in the creative maintenance of certain ideas of groupness and ways of thinking. 8.
