Chasing pirates
This case study tells us about the piracy problem Microsoft is facing. This is particularly the case in
emerging countries where the rate of use of pirated software is much higher. They give us here the
reasons as well as the different strategies that Microsoft has put in place to deal with this piracy
issue. Microsoft uses many strategies like for example the adaptation of their offer, the lawsuit of
pirates or signature of agreements of non-use of pirated products.
