Illegal immigration has been a topic of debate in America for countless years. As a nation, we have not come to a unanimous decision yet, and it is unlikely that we will ever come to a solution that every person supports. Despite these observations, politicians have pressed forward with solutions to a greater problem than can be completely resolved in one person's lifetime. Almost everyone has family members and friends that they care deeply about. When separated by country borders, many will go to great lengths to be reunited. If put in a similar situation as that of an illegal immigrant, many would see the issue in a different light. We have to remember that most illegal immigrants migrate to America because of what it stands for, they can see themselves and their families living a better life just beyond the fence. As members of humankind, there are certain ethical standards we have to maintain. The line between where our duties as men stop and where the need for vitality of our country
