First Man and First Women were created. “First Man and First Women entered the shelter and thus became husband and wife”. (29) In all, the First Man and First Womanhad five pairs of twins, and all but the first became couples who had children” (The Native American Legends). The Children of the First Man and First Women married among the Kissannii and mirage people. They all lived in harmony for over eight years. “In one of the lower worlds, First Man and First Women had a bitter dispute about whether men and women need each other to live”. (Myth Encyclopedia). The First Man and First Women got into an argument over who was the cause of successful hunting and food production. “First Man was a great hunter and provided much food, but First Women made an ungrateful remark that insulted and greatly angered First Man” .(30) As the argument escalated both believed they could be successful without the other. The First Man moved to the other side of the river along with all the other men. The First man and First Women were separated over four years. (30).
