Students will be introduced to the different types of risk, loss and
probability of risks and how risk affects their lives.
Performance Objectives
To help students gain knowledge needed to perform a risk assessment and
understand risk strategies to reduce, avoid and transfer risks.
To help students know the personal risk, risk of financial loss and
resources types.
 Explain the concepts of risk.
 List the 3 types of risk that consumers face.
 Describe risk assessment and four risk strategies.
