Alyssa Aston UI 416- Planetary Exploration Dr. Cwick February 4 th , 2008 Optional Assignments Bonus Points-Oh Mons This was a story that discussed the climbing of Mars Mountains. The author took this and broke it up like a journal and you got to read through his journey. The journey went from July to September. He discusses the things that gave him trouble into while he was preparing and actually climbing the mountain. He also told you how he prepared for this journey, and what kind of equipment was needed to make this mission successful. He based his story on the spacecrafts findings and what might happen in the future. The story describes the planet of mars by painting a picture of what you might see if you go on an adventure on it. It talks about the cliffs and the height of them. It states that they are an average of 4 to 6 kilometers. It also mentions that the altitude is about 7,000 meters. There is also many volcanoes on the planet. On Earth the volcanoes
