Alyssa Aston Sofo Middle School PE April 16, 2008 Coding Reflection paper: My group taught passing in basketball. We broke down the chest, bounce, and overhead pass to the students. We used all but three teaching styles. We used Practice the most in our lesson. Besides guided discovery and reciprocal we used command, practice, self-check, and management. We balanced out all of them for the most part. We used the teaching styles that we did because we thought that it would be beneficial for us, and fit with our lesson the best. I liked teaching in the reciprocal because it gave the students a chance to partner up and teach each other and correct each others mistakes therefore testing their knowledge. If I were to teach in it again I would make sure that I tell the students to be loud on their feedback and to make sure that they gave feedback every time to their partner. This would have made it easier for me to make sure that the students grasped the task at hand. I did not like to teach in the guided discovery.
