Are there any indications of subordination or equality in the ways the humans are created? ξ Gen. 1:26 - 1:27, equality, “Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the are, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.’ So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” In this story of creation it indicate equality b/c both were created in his image at the same time ξ Gen. 2:7, subordination, “then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.” This shows that he created ‘man’ first before women ξ Gen. 2:18 - 2:23, subordination, God wanted man to have a partner so he created all of these animals first to see if they would work to be a partner, but none of
