2. Introduction
a. Overview
The primary and foremost objective of the following reflective report is to reflect upon my
personal experience and view points on a recent product or service that I have purchased. In the
following reflection, I have considered about recognizing my need for the particular product or
service I chose for; how the decision to purchase that specific product or service took place;
medium through which I searched for relevant information relating to product/service; process
and criteria for evaluation.
Additionally, the report will be briefing upon the service I decided to purchase that is Netflix
subscription account. As far as convenience, Netflix's content suggestions mean that I don't have
to peruse another stage to find a new thing to watch. More significantly, the AI calculations
behind it permit Netflix to dive more deeply into clients and make convincing suggestions that
will keep motivating me to utilize the paid web-based features.
b. Thesis statement
Getting a Netflix subscription account has taught me the importance balancing professional and
personal life and how important it is to spend quality time with families that care for you, which
Netflix do, by providing a connecting link through its platform for all the generations living
under the same roof.
3. Reflective discussion
a. Reporting and responding
I am many times engaged with my professional life to an extent, that I hardly could spare some
time for my family too. Thinking of holiday, vacations or a small tour to some historical place for
small break from work would demand a good amount of time, and are not approachable when
you are deciding to have a small break for 2, 3 hours. Additionally, travelling is not my game, I
moreover like to spend some time indoors with my kids and spouse. The thought of balancing
my personal life along with my work has enforced me to start searching for mediums through
which I can spend some quality time at indoors only. Upon critical research and analysis, I found
mediums to enjoy indoors included the following – television shows, Amazon prime
subscriptions, Netflix series, playing stations at home. Reason for considering these online
platforms were what I actually meant that is- indoors can be fun with family yet without much
time consumption.
Along with some advantages, there come some concerns with these platforms, like binge
watching, wasting unnecessary time on watching, leaving important work aside (which usually
happens when I take interest in a specific show /movie/ series. So, spending much time on these
platforms too, will harm kids, their learning prospects etc. On having proper evaluation of pros

and cons of the alternatives being provided, I decided to go with Netflix account subscription, as
it relates closely to what I have been searching for.
