Vectors A vector quantity is a quantity with both a size and a direction Vector quantities are represented graphically by an arrow: the length of the arrow corresponds to the vector’s size, and the orientation of the arrow indicates direction The prototype vector quantity is displacement , the change in position of an object over some time interval
