1. What types of winds were required in each level of the atmosphere? Describe the wind speed and direction at each level. -A low speed of wind was required in all of the levels of the atmosphere and the wind direction of each level was East. 2. Why is it critical that all levels blow in the same direction to form a tropical storm? What happens when you have lower winds blowing a different direction than upper winds? -Winds need to blow in the same direction so that the hurricane can build its circular form. When you have lower winds blowing a different direction than upper winds, they pretty much clash instead of going in the same direction and forming the cyclone. 3. It seems intuitive that stronger winds would be better for forming a hurricane. Why is this not the case? -Hurricanes need time to form so that is why hurricanes form with low winds, If the hurricane had strong winds there would be a better chance of the hurricane dying out before it ever got a chance to fully form.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
