Some of variables that impact the macroeconomic in the business environment are: Unemployment plays a major impact in the business environment when it comes to macroeconomics. Unemployment as defined by Webster is “the state of being unemployed: involuntary idleness of workers; also: the rate of such unemployment” (Merriam-Webster, 2015). Having a large amount of people unemployed is terrible for the business environment, if the average consumer is jobless then they purchase less goods/products/services. Inflation is another variable that impacts the macroeconomics in the business environment but not only inflation but deflation as well, many people think deflation is nothing but good, and at the moment it may seem that way because deflation is when the price of a good decreases and the amount of goods/services purchased rise. Inflation is the total opposite, it’s when the cost of goods/services rises and the amount sold lowers, over a period of time (WWD, 2010). When we have deflation the economy seems to be profiting and stable, but slowly there is more and more products produced and the prices start to rise slowly causing inflation to happen. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
