Bill Gates is a very incredible man. He was an entrepreneur that had very high goals. He is a very aggressive and driven businessman that started his own software business. I picked this certain leader because of the fact that he started at the bottom and built his way off. Even through everyone’s doubts he still did what he thought would be incredible one day and he was right. Bill Gates and his partner Paul Allen built one of world’s largest software businesses, Microsoft. Bill Gates is now one of the richest men in the world. Bill Gates belong to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and this supports the use of genetically modified organisms in agricultural development. Bill Gates had the chairman, chief software architect, and CEO position of the company Microsoft. He eventually stopped working at Microsoft in 2008, 33 years after starting the ideas of Microsoft (Gates, B.). He wanted to focus his time on other things in his life like his family and traveling. Bill Gates is now the wealthiest man in the world. I believe there are several leadership theories that describe Bill Gates. One theory I would say describes him would be the behavioral theory. Behavioral theories of leadership are based upon the belief that great leaders are made, not born (Schermerhorn, J. 2011). I think this is very true because he made who he was from the very bottom. I think he learned how to become a leader through all of his observations. He also follows the relationship theory, which is part of the transformational theory. This has to deal with the connections formed between the leader and followers. He does happen to connect with his followers and also his employees. Throughout his start up of Microsoft he has

taken the opinion into consideration and asked for others input. This allows his employees to feel needed and this is part of having a great relationship with your employees. He is focused on each employee performing at his or her potential.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
